I decided to not try everything at once. So we knocked out another 5 rims today, trying to perfect the method as this is the key to labor content elimination. Ultimately, I believe we will need to try different materials as these worked well and molded beautifully but I cant keep it all where I want it! Each rim went better, having a lot of trouble controlling tack and position but we made a lot of pregress. Molded all of these parts and cutr them apart into numerous pieces to see how the component positioning post-molding and its a promising start, I think we have ideas on what to change the next time around.

Have had this idea to eliminate numerous steps from the manufacturing process and maintain ride quality, not gain weight and make a more affordable rim and wheel with the savings. It is very tough, I tried 3 different styles of preforming on the 40mm rim today and the tack of the material makes it quite difficult to elimnnate all steps in one fell swoop. Although parts did not look good prior to going into the press, they looked fairly decent coming out.
