Rims look good.
Wed, 27 Apr 2005 by Todd Narkis
Rims look good, seam strong, but did not drill or build up well. There were a number of rims that had cracks between spokes. Will investigate what went wrong.
Laminate

Built second generation laminate for FP-40 rims. They are hard to build with a consistent fiber orientation. Will change the laminate to make it easier to get good results.
Built FP-40 Rims

Built first Flash-Point 40 rims. They look very good. The surface finish is good, there is no need for rework. They are a bit softer on the sidewalls than we would like though.

So far these wheels have been great. They
have been trouble free while being very tough.
Hopefully they will stay that way.

Introduction
Thu, 07 Apr 2005 by Denham
Greetings, I'm the production manager responsible for making
Flashpoints. We work in close parallel with R&D to produce quality
wheels, meet market demands, prototype & implement design changes.
This is an exciting time as we load and test new molds, share tips and
tricks to improve quality, set standards and procedures and concentrate
on 'making it right'.
During late summer we plan to be transitioning from prototyping
to regular production, cross-training operators, increasing the number
of molds and chasing through-put. Will be talking about how we ensure
quality, sharing photos of rim and wheel production as it happens, and
helping you understand some of finer points about making a new product.
Hope to share some of my excitement with this new project.
Great looking wheels...but they broke...

Nice set of wheels but on the first ride
a nipple decided to pull through the ID.
We will see what the next set has to offer.
